Callisto – new album in 2009

David Wright and Dave Massey, the duo behind the popular electronic music act Callisto, have been working on a new album titled “NYX” for release early in 2009. Callisto’s current release is “Signal to the Stars” and the album has proved a popular seller for UK based record label AD Music. Apparently NYX is an unashamed homage to the pioneering German band “Tangerine Dream”, but with a more updated edge. However, the music does intend to reflect the popular 70’s era style of melodic sequences, mystery and mellotron. For more details check out the AD music shop online which also has some cool free music downloads.

  1. Yes! I have been wondering if a new Callisto album would ever come out. The current album is one of my favourite AD Music releases, so I greatly look forward to it. Thanks for the news.

  2. Just “discovered” Signal to the Stars. What a fantastic album! Thanks to my belated revelation, I am fortunate in that I didn’t have to wait 5 years for the next album. Still, “early in 2009” has come and gone…
