Geigertek – UK forthcoming concert news
Come and see something a little different!!!
Geigertek’s Neil Fellowes will be performing live at the Awakenings Evening of Ambient and Electronic Music at the Paget High School in the West Midlands town of Burton-On-Trent, on Saturday 13th July 2013.
Performing under his own name rather than Geigertek, Neil will be presenting “Structures of Paradise”, a three-part, part-improvised electronic piece comprising an ambient section called “Creation of Paradise”, an experimental section called “Paradise Consumed” and an up-tempo section called “Paradise Lost”.
As well as working on the music for this set, Neil is also creating a set of stunning visuals which will feature images created by himself, his partner Anne Mancini-Smith and contemporary modern U.K. artist, Karborn.
Neil will be joined on stage by his son, Callum Raeburn-Fellowes, who will be playing electronic percussion, bass guitar and various noise boxes and sound sources.
Of note as well is that, in keeping with the spirit of the live Awakenings concerts, Neil and Callum will not be using any software/computer instruments, and employing the services of a single laptop to sequence a rack of hardware synthesizers for a totally live feel – which means that anything could happen!!!
